There were some users that were seeing the keypad lock on the SDS100 actually functioning through the Sentinel software in the early versions. As noted elsewhere, it was taken out in later Sentinel versions.Without the lock symbol printed next to the power button it could cause a lot of confusion when the keypad stopped responding after being locked. I have had lots of scanners in my time. The old scanners worked fine with a amplified speaker plugged in the headphone jack. The jack the on the sds100 is dummied down so low a amplified speaker don't help much. These are listed here as well. On the SDS100, the antenna connector is recessed somewhat into the case, so a standard BNC Female -> SMA Male does not fit correctly. (It's recessed to maintain water-resistance.) The marine case is touted as being waterproof/resistant so Uniden kept the moisture resistant feature and advertised it as a plus for the SDS100.
